Owen Livesey combines world-class credentials with a down-to-earth coaching style. A former international judoka and Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist, he has become one of Europe’s top grapplers, recently winning the Polaris Light Heavyweight Title.

 

Known for making complex techniques simple and engaging, Owen creates sessions that benefit everyone, from beginners to advanced athletes. 

 

At LVDI, his focus is on sharing the mindset and skills that brought him success, while helping you rediscover the joy of martial arts.

George Hickman

Head Coach MMA

Title

George brings world-class wrestling and MMA expertise to LVDI. A 3x State Champion and Division 1 wrestler, he later transitioned to professional MMA before moving into full-time coaching.

 

Based in Phuket for over 7 years, George previously coached at Tiger Muay Thai, where he developed UFC and ONE Championship athletes, including Alex Volkanovski and Petr Yan.

 

At LVDI, George focuses on the wrestling and MMA fundamentals that give practitioners practical tools to level up their game — from takedowns to transitions — all in a welcoming and supportive environment.
